James D. As a conference speaker, he has made presentations throughout North America and Europe. He is a member of Western Writers of America, Abraham Lincoln Association, The Lincoln Forum, The Lincoln Group of D.C., Historical Novel Association, and the Pacific Beach Surf Club. James enjoys writing, film, surfing, skiing, and watching his grandchildren play sports and cavort. James and his wife Diane live in Omaha and Scottsdale. James' undergraduate degree is from CSUN and master's degree is from UCLA. He has been Curriculum Advisory Committee chair for College of the Canyons, and a member of the Curriculum Advisory Committee for CSUN.
