James D. Best: James Best is the author of the bestselling Steve Dancy Tales, an eight-book series. His contemporary thrillers include The Shut Mouth Society, Deluge, and The Templar Reprisals. Tempest at Dawn is a classic novelization of the Constitutional Convention. His latest historical novel is Maelstrom, A Civil War Novel.
